Default The Henchies are pathetic

Who would have guessed that going to such a powerful new area would bring about more idiotic henchies. The rarely if not at all rez in the middle of battle. The healers can't heal, and they get caught on everything! I love the game, but if they should improve somthing, please let it be the henchies, turn them back to how they were in prophecies.

i Disagree, ive played with my ritualist (read,a squishy) with only henches for about 10 hours now, and the quality is still higher than your average pug


Learn to use CTRL to move them

Also disagree, since the update that altered the skill sets for the healer and protector, they've been great.

They hardly ever die now.

Yeah - I barely need to fight now.I die, they fight. Do i like the arrangement? No, but it does show that they are useful. They do take a LONG time to heal you after battle, and they always say such random things.

I tried henching nehpui or whatever it's called. The damned hench kept trying to attack creatures on levels they couldn't reach.

At the beggining I find them hard to work with, but when you get later on it is very easy

Meh your build must suck... dont blame the henchies, they helped me all the game, did plenty of missions ( both factions and prophecies ) with them.

They're not bad all of the time! However, earlier today in The Undercity I died because I didn't keep an eye on my health (bloody mesmers killed me). The henchies duly finished off the few afflicted that were left and then proceded to just stand around my rotting corpse doing nothing. 15mins later they were still standing there, the healer and the ritualist just didn't bother to attempt to revive me.

In the end I had to map back to the city.

Yeah, I have a pathetic build too that makes the henchmen get stuck under stairs and in small doorways.....

Tried Boreas Seaboard with henchies just now. Seems unnecessarily hard, as they won't attack if I don't and I can't attack because I hold the spear. Once I die I can just as well restart the mission because they will not res me. Arborstone too, once the only human player dies they like to clump up and constantly get hit by falling cathedral pieces. Basically that's game over right there too.
However, they do insane interrupts.... interrupt 1/4 casts quite often, it seems.

yes, they seem to panic when the player dies. just dont die

but I do all the quests with henchies, and haven't really encountered any problems. only with pulling.

Henchies Suck. I agree. Factions only made them WORSE.

But they are still easier, and faster to deal with than a PUG.

PUGs leave, PUGs run off and do stupid stuff, etc.

From what I've noticed:
-Henchies get stuck ALOT! This is path detection glitches that never should have made it past betas and maybe the first weekend release.
-Devona is worse now. She is retarded. She is the first Henchie to die every battle, even before the Zin henchie if I take him (and beleive me...Zin's die fast).
-They took Purge Signet from Healers, which is a god-send because they were worseless for a few days, but they STILL prioritize using Sig of Devotion over anything else - meaning you are getting pounded and they are casting 2sec cast time Sigs...
-Monk henchies also have bugged (I'm convinced its a bug) rez. Its either they drop what their doing and rez someone mid battle, or its after battle and they REFUSE to rez someone (<- this one is more annoying). Not to mention, unlike Ch1 monks, ch2 monk henchies dont seem to realize when others are rezzing someone, becuase the ritualist AND both monks jump to rezzing the same person once they decide to rez them.
- Spirit henchie is useful when he is useful, but thats not often. They REALLY shoulda gave him Rit Lord or Twisting as elite, because he is only useful in any marginal way when he has his spirits up.

I think that they are much better, I have done some missions now and you realy control them and they dont run and don't aggro (assasin does agrro a lot with telleport ot other groups).
They don't ress when they are fighting but they do win the mission or quest for you and know this that if they do ress you while the rest is fighting by the time you are up 2 other henche are down.

Agree on the stuck part and the bugs, I think if this things are fixed it would be great.

think they're good.. henched almost the whole game except the arbor mission with a ritualist- the falling rocks kept interupting my casts lol the thing that could be changed though is when the ritualist is carrying ashes there's no way to have them focus on your target- they go random

Ctrl+shift+space = I'm targeting X. Henchies will attack the called target. (How'd you guys get this far in the game and not know this? )

1. Nobody complained about them not attacking a called target.

2. The hench suck at rezzing.

3. The hench aggro everything for any reason unless you are super careful.

I hate henchies whenever you need to keep someone alive they dont heal them ><

they gave them signet of devotion... (gay skill) what is it 2 second cast and heals for 80?

Took away WoH (painfully)

Took away little thom and stefan ( they could actually last a while)

the gay assn henchmen also believes it can tank...

earth henchmen is retarded misses all its damage while knock down crap like crazy

PLZ bring back lina henchmen!! i love my shield of regeneration and Protective spirt ><

it seems when you call their target they wait aprox. 5 seconds before they come after it.

and after they hit the called target to about half health mine run away to another enemy

oh yeah and the monk henchmen for somereason aggros all the enemy assns in the area and sits their spamming stuff on them self

I haven't had any problems with henchies and their abilities except one time in Sorrow's Furnace Aidan got stuck to a door. That's it. Nothing else.

The monk henchies and rit hench are well, miles below par imo. They seem to be pressing random skills at random times. Then...theres the times when they dont do anything at all.

Opinions on henchies are like mini-pets, everyone has one... oh wait...

Personally I do use the henchies, but only if I can't get a group. Despite the terrible PUGs I've been in, I've also had a few good ones, and if I wanted to play a single player game, I'd just play Fallout.
